COVID\u201319 and to Provide United States Leadership on Global Health and Security)\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This exec order created positions of Coordinator of the COVID\u201319 Response, as well as a NSC Directorate on Global Health Security and Biodefense<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The latter was responsible for monitoring current and emerging biological threats, and would report to the COVID\u201319 Response Coordinator on matters relating to COVID\u201319<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Was also responsible for responsible for coordinating the Nation&#8217;s biodefense preparedness
