Executive Order: “Withdrawing the US from the world health organization”
- Withdraws us from WHO
- Every member state in the United Nations is a member of WHO, except for Liechtenstein, and now us. Go us.
- Revoked Executive Order 13987 of January 25, 2021 (Organizing and Mobilizing the United States Government to Provide a Unified and Effective Response to Combat COVID–19 and to Provide United States Leadership on Global Health and Security)
- This exec order created positions of Coordinator of the COVID–19 Response, as well as a NSC Directorate on Global Health Security and Biodefense
- The latter was responsible for monitoring current and emerging biological threats, and would report to the COVID–19 Response Coordinator on matters relating to COVID–19
- Was also responsible for responsible for coordinating the Nation’s biodefense preparedness efforts
- The US will pause future transfer of funds to WHO, and recall and reassign any personnel working with the WHO
- The Director of the White House Office of Pandemic Preparedness and Response Policy shall review, rescind, and replace the 2024 U.S. Global Health Security Strategy, as soon as practicable
- The Secretary of State will cease negotiations on the WHO Pandemic Agreement and the amendments to the International Health Regulations

Executive Order: Revoked Executive Order 14009 of January 28, 2021 (Strengthening Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act)
- Expanded the enrollment period, and asked department heads to review policies that may negatively affect folks with long covid
- Revoked Trump Exec orders related to the ACA
Executive Order: Revoked Executive Order 14070 of April 5, 2022 (Continuing To Strengthen Americans’ Access to Affordable, Quality Health Coverage)
- Enhanced marketplace subsidies
- Extended postpartum Medicaid coverage
- Extended postpartum Medicaid coverage
- Included new incentives for states to expand their Medicaid programs
Executive Order: Revoked Executive Order 14087 of October 14, 2022 (Lowering Prescription Drug Costs for Americans
- Stated that the Health and Human Services (HHS) secretary should look into “new health care payment and delivery models that would lower drug costs and promote access to innovative drug therapies for beneficiaries enrolled in the Medicare and Medicaid programs.”
- The secretary could include models “that may lead to lower cost-sharing for commonly used drugs and support value-based payment that promotes high-quality care.”
- This executive order was meant to complement and build off of the health care cost provisions included in the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA)
Covid-specific
01/27/2025: Executive Order: “Reinstating Service Members Discharged Under the Military’s COVID-19 Vaccination Mandate”
- Makes reinstatement available to any members of the military who were discharged solely for refusal to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and who request to be reinstated
- Anyone reinstated will revert to their former rank and receive full back pay, benefits, bonus payments, or compensation
- Allows any service members who voluntarily left the service or allowed their service, rather than be vaccinated, to return to service with no impact on their service status, rank, or pay

- This was basically general working with WHO for covid response stuff

- This established a covid task force

- Established a board to expand covid testing
Executive Order: Revoked Executive Order 13997 of January 21, 2021 (Improving and Expanding Access to Care and Treatments for COVID-19
- Plan to expand treatment and vaccines for covid
Executive Order: Revoked Executive Order 13999 of January 21, 2021 (Protecting Worker Health and Safety)
- Just said that they should look into providing guidance for masking in the workplace
Executive Order: Revoked Executive Order 14000 of January 21, 2021 (Supporting the Reopening and Continuing Operation of Schools and Early Childhood Education Providers)
- Provide guidance for masking in schools, as well as assistance and advice to schools regarding distance and online learning, blended learning, and in-person learning
- Also provided assistance with the promotion of mental health, social-emotional well-being, and communication with parents and families
Executive Order: Revoked Executive Order 14002 of January 22, 2021 (Economic Relief Related to the COVID-19 Pandemic)
- Looked into ways to address the economic impacts from covid
Executive Order: Revoked Executive Order 14099 of May 9, 2023 (Moving Beyond COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements for Federal Workers)
- This exec order LIFTED the existing requirement that Federal workers had to be vaccinated or just get tested regularly.
- Note: This one makes no sense to me for him to revoke and I wonder if he actually even read it at all. Basically Trump…made it so that federal workers have to get vaccinated, again?
